Kramatjati Wholesale Center Will Impose Non-Cash Transaction

The city administration will impose non-cash transaction in the Kramatjati Wholesale Market. Therefore, every trader must have bank account.

"All must be non-cash. I want to know who's buying, how much they sell and transaction flow," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama, at Jl Cikini Raya, Wednesday (8/24).

He disclosed, his party can know income flow of the peddler. Thus it can simplify credit procurement to them. "Thus I can also give them credit," he expressed.

Through wholesale in Kramatjati, he believes able to help residents getting basic needs at cheap prices. Even he also intends to involve big company in its distribution.

"If you already have wholesale, all big companies will ask for help to you, because you can make decision," he explained.

He does it because have tens of thousands of peddlers under PD Pasar Jaya. They are directed to buy merchandise through such wholesale.

"So I want this conglomeration used to support SMEs," he said.

It is also made to suppress inflation, that is by selling grocery as cheaply as possible without burdening the farmer.
